It has come to our attention that the children's detention facility in San Diego has been utilizing our free Crayon Collection Art Education Curriculum to teach the unaccompanied minors. The facility shared that our art education program was the most accessible way to provide rich art education to support self expression during a very tumultuous time. Due to COVID-19, new crayons are required for each child and the need is great. Fortunately, our friends at Nickelodeon stepped in and donated $1,500 to purchase and send new crayons to the detention facility in San Diego. However, we need more help. One of our major goals for 2021 is to expand our Art Education Curriculum. Many times, the ONLY art education our students receive is from Crayon Collection.
So far, generous supporters have helped us to raise $3,000 towards our $10,000 goal, which equates to 10 new art projects turned to lesson plans.
