Usually Crayon Collection collects and redistributes gently used crayons. However, occasionally Crayon Collection receives brand new donations. As hospitals cannot accept any used crayons, Crayon Collection donated hundreds of boxes of new crayons to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles on December 7, 2018, right in time for the holidays.
Crayon Collection also met with the CHLA Art Programming Coordinator Cynthia to learn more about art education and art therapy at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Cynthia shared the joy coloring brings into the children’s lives and the way art provides an outlet.
