The Most Handwritten Notes Uploaded to Instagram in One Hour

We were in awe of the hundreds of notes uploaded to #CrayonCollection on Instagram thanking frontline workers. The response was incredible so we decided to continue! Let’s spread kindness and thank local heroes for their hard work. Create and send a handwritten note of kindness today!

Join us HELP spread kindness & Be a part of the World’s Largest (Virtual) Kindness event on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 11am PST. Everyone is welcome!

We were inspired to host this event during this unprecedented time because we felt the world could really use more kindness. Join Crayon Collection in setting our SECOND Guinness World Record! We will be joined by LA Mayor, Eric Garcetti, special guest artists Oliver Jeffers, illustrator of best-selling children’s book The Day the Crayons Quit as well as Joe Whale, aka “The Doodle Boy”. In addition, Dr. Nina Shapiro, UCLA will share a few words along with Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes’ Foundation about how valuable notes of kindness are for frontline heroes who are working extra hard due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Plus Drew Daywalt, author of The Day the Crayons Quit, will do a special reading of his best-selling children’s book at the end of the event and he will be giving away 100 copies of his book to Head Start teachers.
