Crayon Collection organized a Crayon Drive with a 5th Grade boys class at Yavneh Hebrew Academy. The class worked hard to collect gently-used crayons from the community. The Crayon Drive culminated in a Crayon Collection packing and color kindness day in the 5th Grade class on January 14, 2018.
Crayon Collection showed the 1 Million Crayon Drive and Exhibit Video and answered questions about the event and the Crayon Collection Mission. Crayon Collection thanked the boys of Yavneh Hebrew Academy for their Crayon Collection and explained the direct impact of their donations on the community.
The boys of Yavneh brainstormed with their teacher about positive notes they could write to go along with the crayons. The teacher cut up colorful construction paper for each member of the class to write a thoughtful and considerate note of kindness.
After each boy wrote notes of kindness, they all counted out a variety of 10 crayons to put in the Crayon Collection Pouches. They assembled over 60 Crayon Collection Pouches with extremely well written notes of kindness for the Los Angeles Community. The boys enjoyed the act of giving!
